Perché le scarpe marroni? (Why brown shoes?)
This is what we kept asking when we first arrived in Rome. Everywhere we looked we saw elegantly dressed Italian men with impeccable taste wearing brown shoes. Coming from New York, where every well-dressed male is wearing black, we were taken aback by what we saw.
Loving fashion as we do, it was decided by all to visit the Metropolitan Museum in New York and view the Charles James exhibit that runs until August 10th.

Several years ago, I experienced an epiphany while vacationing with my husband, Peter, in Nassau, the Bahamas. We were walking towards the beach near the Ocean Club when who should I spot but George Hamilton, the famous actor known for his charm and ever-present tan.
